University is more than a degree

Or how not to…we will soon find out! Graduating on the 19th July 2017 and I am excited to use the skills that I have learnt over the course of my degree, in the ‘real’ world.

Throughout University I have changed hugely as a person. I have developed my confidence and gained experience in many different roles in the TV industry. If you would like to have a look around these posts you can learn about what I have been studying. I am 1000% certain that I am on the right career path and that I have proved to myself that I am ambitious and passionate, so can achieve anything I put my mind to. This can be explored further when reading about my role as a producer for a commissioned show – The last show on Earth.

I believe if you try your absolute hardest and keep a positive attitude you can make your thoughts (no matter how ambitious) into reality. However this still doesn’t mean that it will be exactly how you envisioned it, as nothing in life ever is. But it is about the process you take and that is something I have learnt – to not get frustrated when things don’t turn out ‘perfectly’.

“Intelligence is the ability to adapt to change.– Stephen Hawking.

I am a very visual person, so find it easy to get caught up in all the little details that I imagine, sometimes forgetting the realistic picture. University has helped me to understand the limitations of my creative and imaginative ideas, so that I can deliver high quality work.

Please have a watch of the shows we have made on Television Broadcasting and have a look on Final year project to read about my dissertation, that has just been completed (and watch some videos that I made).
